$25000 Will Buy You A Pet Cemetery In Missouri

April 20, 2006 by admin

If you’ve ever wanted to own a pet cemetery, now’s your chance. Cedar Hills Pet Cemetery is for sale in Cape Girardeau County.

CBS5.com has an interview (and online video coverage) with owner, Alaina Hinze, who bought the cemetery 5 years ago when she was 24. She’s been the sole employee ever since. But now she’s married with a young daughter and doesn’t think she can devote the time it takes to maintain the business. The cemetery sits on 1.3 acres and currently, about 400 pets – including cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, fish and even a rat – are buried there. There’s room for hundreds more.

Burials cost between $35 and $600 depending on the size of the pet and the type of headstone.

Well, its been 50 years this year, 2022, since Hurricane Agnes caused a massive flood in my hometown near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The swollen Susquehanna River broke through the dike in Forty-Fort, PA, and gutted the Forty-Fort Cemetery on June 23, 1972. My parents, along with my younger brother and sister, lived a few miles from […]
